Chapel of Divine Mercy

With the onset of COVID, our Chapel, like many others, had to be closed. At the time of its closing, 370 Catholics from all five Catholic Parishes in New Iberia honored Our Lord with Adoration.

Now is the Time

for Renewal

With life returning to normal, it is time to revive our commitment to Perpetual Adoration. Parishioners from all parishes are coming together to adore Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, praying for each other, our church, our clergy, and the community as a whole.

Perpetual Adoration requires many individuals to make it a success. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this community-wide devotion as a committed adorer and share in its blessings. We need you. Each prayer, each hour, and each adorer, through God’s grace, will bring changes to our community.

Making a Commitment.

We use the program AdorationPro to schedule hours, get subs and manage all chapel commitments. Adorationpro is a very user friendly system that will send you reminders for your hours and assist you in finding subs when you cannot keep your commitment. Check the link below choose an hour you can commit to or sign up as a substitute. Once on the site, tap on "Weekly Commitment" to see our full schedule.

***** NOTICE ****

New Adoration Hours will not begin until the Renewal Campaign is complete.

Can't Commit to Weekly Adoration

Sign up as a substitute.

This important ministry is the key to a successful Adoration Chapel. As a sub you have no weekly commitments, but when your schedule allows, you have the option to assist regular adorers in fulfilling their commitments.

All sub requests are made through email. When a sub is needed, all subs receive an email with the hour and day to be covered. If you can help, you just tap the link. It is that simple.

Chapel Location and Security

The Chapel is located on the east side of St. Peter Catholic Church at the end of the covered walkway. Daytime parking is in the rear of the church with evening parking next to the parish hall.

For security, the chapel door is locked after hours and is accessed by adorers through a secure keypad. The chapel itself and the surrounding grounds are monitored 24 hours a day by video surveillance.
